Lisa Horton, Director
For the past 34 years, I have worked on behalf of children and families in the education field both as a teacher as well as a Senior Director/Field Director, Regional/Financial Manager, and Trainer. I have also been involved in volunteer work in the community including co-chairing the Mecklenburg area Early Education Leaders Association, participating in the local Directors Leadership Academy, and working with the early childhood students at CPCC.
I am committed to providing only the highest quality of care and education for children and families. I have led three early childcare centers through the NAEYC Accreditation process as well as the North Carolina Star Rating process. I have also been a validator for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). I have conducted faculty trainings as well as presented workshops at many early childhood conferences.
I believe that learning is a lifelong process; therefore, my vision is for the center to become, together, a community of learners and educators .I also believe that ongoing training is vital to maintaining quality and that parents are our partners in the education of children.
