Almost all aspects of a child's development can be enhanced through the use of blocks. Because blocks are designed in mathematical units, children playing with them develop a concrete understanding of concepts essential to logical thinking. They learn about size, shape, numbers, order, area, length and weight as they select, build, and clean up blocks.
Language, aesthetic, and social development take place in the block area. As children build together, they solve problems and learn to cooperate with and respect the work of others.
