Welcome to Gateway Academy, one of leading child care centers in the industry!
At Gateway Academy we take great pride in the service and care we provide to our families. We are constantly making changes to enhance the great service we provide. Our Facility is surrounded by three huge age-appropriate playgrounds that are divided by fencing allowing for age-appropriate activities for each age-group.
We have large classrooms featuring specific learning centers that feature open view windows. All classes are divided by age groups and specific teacher to child ratios are maintained at all times.
Each month we have a family event which may include dinner, games, etc. This is a fun time for the whole family. Our existing families really look forward to attending each month.
Our curriculum program, Creative Kaleidoscope of Learning, features Zoo-Phonics®, Block Handwriting, Math Their Way, Baby Signs®, Country and Culture, Spanish, and monthly themes around which we plan our Art, Science and Sensory, and Literature programming. For the older children we offer a Before and After School program with free transportation provided to and from the following neighborhood schools:

- H.E. Corley Elementary
- Oak Point Elementary
- Nursery Road Elementary
- River Springs Elementary
- Irmo Elementary
This program runs throughout the school year and our teachers do assist with homework. During Professional Activity days and all school holidays and vacations, we are proud to offer a full day program to our school-age students. Our Summer Camp program is geared towards our school-aged students and offers weekly themed activities all summer long!
In addition to our outstanding curriculum, we provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for the children. All meals are prepared ‘on-site’ by our wonderful cook.
If you choose to participate, your child can take advantage of our extra curricular activities which include: Music -Wiggles ‘n Tunes, Soccer- Soccer Shots, Dance (Tap and Ballet)- Creative Movement and Dance, Gymnastics- Kelly’s Gymnastics.
Gateway Academy on Columbiana Drive is conveniently located near Columbiana Mall and I- 26, which makes us very accessible for our working families.
