Welcome to Gateway Academy in Charleston, South Carolina, known as the friendliest city. Gateway Academy is opened Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We have an open door policy where you are able to drop off or pick up your child any time during our operating hours. Full time and part time programs are available for children 1 year to five years old.
Before and After School care is provided with transportation to Drayton Hall Elementary School. The school busses from Springfield Elementary and Ashley River Creative Arts provide transportation to our center. In addition, School Age programs are offered during school breaks and our Summer Camp program is geared towards our school-aged students and offers weekly themed activities all summer long!
Our year round curriculum program, Creative Kaleidoscope of Learning, features Zoo-Phonics®, Block Handwriting, Math Their Way, Baby Signs®, Country and Culture, Spanish, and monthly themes around which we plan our Art, Science and Sensory, and Literature programming. We offer extra curricular activities such as dance, gymnastics, Jump Bunch and Gymboree.
Our school features spacious classrooms where children have ample space for learning centers, yet still can maintain a cozy atmosphere that feels like home. In addition, all of the classrooms have windows allowing visual access throughout the school.
Three separate, large playgrounds offer children the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities.
Nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are prepared by our wonderful cook. Meals and snacks are included in the weekly tuition fee.
