Three Reason Why Gateway Works For Us!

Education, location, and love. These are the three main things our family desired when looking for the perfect Preschool. Gateway not only offers the three desired attributes, they exceed them!

Gaining an education that will prepare our children for Elementary School is very important to us. Over the last three years our oldest child has learned so much and so fast that we had a hard time keeping up. Some may say it’s the child, some may say it’s the teacher, but we say it is both plus the excellent curriculum and guidelines Gateway Academy follows.

While education is extremely important to us, location ranks at the top too. We are both working parents and need to have our children near our home for easy pick up and drop off. It’s also conveniently located near a Hospital and Fire Station, should there ever be a need.

Last, but certainly not least is love. From our oldest who is 4 to our youngest who is 5 months, there is no doubt our children are not only cared for, but loved. Sure, the teachers grow fond of their students, but it doesn’t take long to realize that all the employees care for and love the children. You could not ask for a better Director and office staff. They work very hard and are always thinking of the children first.

Overall, we have been blessed to have Gateway just around the corner from our home. It fits all of our needs and has become a part of our family.

We chose Gateway Academy in July 2004, when our daughter, Aubrey, turned a year old. She had been cared for by a lady in her home and we had specific standards we were looking for in a daycare facility. When we toured Gateway, we found what we were looking for. We were impressed with the professionalism of the director and staff. We also liked the security features of having a manager present at the front desk and in using codes at the door and signing in/out. We needed a part-time option for daycare and Gateway was able to provide that. We loved how the rooms were divided by ages/developmental levels and the cleanliness of the rooms. We also lovedall the additional opportunities to learn and grow by going on field trips, Wiggles in tunes, guest speakers, etc.

Our son, Wyatt, followed his sister to Gateway in January 2006 and Aubrey graduated from Gateway in August 2008 to move onto kindergarten. It is hard to believe that Wyatt will graduate this summer to move onto kindergarten. It will be bittersweet as Gateway has become an extended family to us. Several of the teachers/staff we have known for years through both of our children and love that they have provided that consistency. We have participated in a lot of the annual family events (i.e. Fall festival, Chili Cookoff, Garage Sale) that have been a lot of fun.

We are very blessed to have found Gateway Academy to educate, influence and guide our children in their early years and know it has impacted them in so many positive ways. We are grateful for the security, encouragement, love and support that we as a family have received!
