Welcome to Gateway Academy, the best preschool in the Harbison area!

At Gateway Academy we take great pride in the education and care we provide for your children. At my school you will meet the most amazing teachers and caregivers who will quickly feel like a part of your extended family.

Our preschool is surrounded by three huge playgrounds allowing for age-appropriate fun as your child grows up.

Our preschool has large classrooms featuring exciting learning centers for children to explore. All classes are divided by age group and led by teachers who love working and developing children that age.

Each month we have a family event which may include dinner, games, etc. Additionally, we offer a monthly parents night out where we have fun with the kiddos while you enjoy some adult time.

Our curriculum program, Creative Kaleidoscope of Learning, features Zoo-Phonics®, Block  Handwriting, Math Their Way, Baby Signs®, Country and Culture, Spanish, and monthly themes around which we plan our Art, Science and Sensory, and Literature programming.  For the older children we offer the best Before and After School program in Columbia that includes homework help and free transportation provided to and from the following neighborhood schools:

During teacher development days and all school holidays/vacations, we are proud to offer a full day program to our school-age students. Our Summer Camp program is geared towards our school-aged students and offers weekly themed activities all summer long!

In addition to our outstanding curriculum, we provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for the children. All meals are prepared ‘on-site’ by our wonderful cook and are included in our regular tuition.

If you choose to participate, your child can take advantage of our extra curricular activities which include: Music -Wiggles ‘n Tunes, Soccer- Soccer Shots, Dance (Tap and Ballet)- Creative Movement and Dance, Gymnastics- Kelly’s Gymnastics.

Gateway Academy on Columbiana Drive is conveniently located near Columbiana Mall and I- 26, which makes us very accessible for our working families.
