As a first time Mom I struggled with the idea of sending my 3 month old to daycare – but knew I needed to also help support our family financially.  We had a daycare lined up but before we started him there we went back for one more tour and knew it was not the right fit for our family.  The Gateway Whitehall location was conveniently located not far from our neighborhood so my husband toured it on a whim – and loved it – I went back later that day and was welcomed like they knew my son forever!  We knew it was the right place for us – we just had that feeling.  Max is now 6 months old – and after 3 months we still know it’s the right place.  We love the fact that the Director or Assistant Director, Nicole, are always around – they are receptive to feedback – and clearly involved in every aspect of the center.  The teachers we have interacted with could not be more amazing.  When we drop Max off he is so excited to see the teachers – which makes drop off a lot easier.  I ask Miss Erica questions all the time and I think of her as an expert! I always say I sigh a big sigh of relief when I see her face.  Miss Brenda is so nurturing – and calm – and I know that she gives Max attention!  Every single teacher that has worked with Max in Infant room 1 and 2 have been just a pleasure – and I feel like he is in really good hands.  Not only that, I can tell a big difference in his development compared to children not in the daycare/school setting.  I really cannot say enough good things about Gateway Academy at Whitehall – I still everyday have mommy guilt and a hard time leaving Max – but when I see how happy he is and how much he is loved at Gateway – I feel ok!

Gateway Academy has been unlike any other daycare I have dealt with. I have had many ups and downs with other daycares and spent many days worrying about whether my child was being taken care of, loved, and given things she needs to learn and prosper.  Now that my child is at Gateway Academy Whitehall I have put all those worries to rest. I know that my child is well taken care of there. The teachers, staff and directors are helpful, friendly, and caring. They really know how to make you feel right at home.  I know when I drop my child off in the morning that she is going to be well taken care of and that she is going to be given the things that she needs. When I pick her up in the afternoon I don’t have to ask how her day was I am always told what kind of day she had, along with being given a daily sheet that tells me specifics about her day. I also love the fact that each classroom provides a structured day, it is much easier to have a child on a schedule. I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this daycare center has been. They have been the missing piece to my daycare puzzle!
