Preschool Parent Reviews

We sincerely appreciate all of the kind words from these Parent Reviews. We encourage you to read the Parent Reviews for Gateway Academy below. We are also happy to connect you with one of our current parents via e-mail or phone so you can get their feedback on what we believe is the top preschool around!

When I had to go back to work I was worried about finding someone to watch my son.  I didn’t want to leave him with just anyone, it’s unfortunate that in this day and age we have to be overly cautious.  However, finding that “someone” wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. During the search for a job I traveled to different parts of Charlotte and checked out several daycare centers near each potential job. There were some daycare facilities that that just gave me the sick in the bottom of my stomach feeling.  However, walking in to Gateway at Northlake I didn’t feel that.  I was nervous at first but after talking with Kristena I felt a little more at ease about trusting a daycare center to help me raise my son.  Her positive attitude, graciousness and concern was genuine.  She seemed very knowledgeable about the school and touched on things that were important to me.  Offering to let my son come back for a day to visit was especially important to me because during his 28 months of life he’d been in one daycare facility for approximately one month and most of the time I ended up staying there with him.  Now that he was older and more aware of what was happening I wasn’t sure how he’d react to me leaving him.  It was hard the first 6 months leaving him at school while he threw a fit or cried.  However, everyone was so helpful and understanding.

Each person has touched his life in a special way and to this day he still asks about the first teacher he had, Ms. Kiya, when he sees a small white bus. Ms. Jeanna became his best friend at school and helped him during his transition from Mommy to school.  His current teacher Teresa was there for him before he even started in her class.  She was a big help when he was transitioning from Mommy to school .. some days he couldn’t deal with the classroom and she’d take him out and have him help her.  It not only calmed him down but I feel knowing her and spending time with her when he did made his transition to her class easier.  What more could a Mother ask for .. knowing that her son is happy and thriving in an environment that’s good for him.  Everyone I’ve come in contact with at Gateway has been a pleasure to deal with and I appreciate the way they’ve helped me and my son.

Thank you to everyone that’s been involved in helping me raise my little boy.
