Dear parents of a future Kindergartener,

My daughter has attended Gateway Academy since she was 4 months old. She now attends Ogden Elementary School. She loves school and is doing great. Upon entering Kindergarten she took an assessment which indicated that she already met end of year goals. At school she is surrounded by familiar faces who also went to Gateway. The transition from Gateway to Kindergarten was easy and a wonderful experience. My daughter was already familiar with the circle time songs and activities, knew her letters and numbers, and had great social skills which I attribute to the wonderful teachers she had at Gateway. She now goes to Gateway’s after school program and walks off the Van with her head high as she is a proud graduate of Gateway and feels very much at home here.

Dear Danielle and the exceptional staff of Gateway Academy;

I am writing this letter as my son approaches his 100th day in kindergarten to say thank you. I thank you and your staff for preparing my son for the challenges of kindergarten. I have no doubt that he has excelled in all areas, especially in the area of reading because of the hard work of your staff in the pre-K classroom. My son, along with his former Gateway classmates, have outshined their kindergarten peers in the area of reading. While other children his age are mastering letter recognition, he is reading on a second grade level. I attribute his success in reading to your well educated and loving staff. Again, I thank you for being a great school filled with great teachers.

We feel very fortunate to have found Gateway Academy for our son. Since our entrance into the Gateway family, we have been delighted with the kind and professional staff. We have found the administrators to be warm, good-humored and accommodating to the families. The teachers have proved exceptional. They are fun, inspired and exude a clear love of children. They care for each child’s individual emotional, social and academic well-being. We feel our son is safe, secure and loved, while also being introduced to many new and interesting concepts and experiences each day. It is a wonderful feeling to trust our childcare provider so implicitly.
