Preschool Parent Reviews

We sincerely appreciate all of the kind words from these Parent Reviews. We encourage you to read the Parent Reviews for Gateway Academy below. We are also happy to connect you with one of our current parents via e-mail or phone so you can get their feedback on what we believe is the top preschool around!

We’ve been at the Charleston Gateway for almost 6 years now (with just short of two more to go). Our 3 boys have loved every teacher and every experience they’ve had. Kindergarten has been a breeze for our oldest because of the foundation that Gateway laid. David and Daniel, our very energetic twins, are in 3B now and Ms. Heather and Ms. Ashley are miracle workers. They are so patient and caring and are doing an awesome job teaching them. Everyday they tell me about the planets or the alphabet or about the books they were read. As a working mom with a long hours, I can’t begin to explain how much I greatly appreciate the peace of mind Gateway has given me. I know my boys are safe and well taken care of. I can’t thank the teachersĀ and administrators enough for their hard work and patience. We recommend Gateway every chance we get!

Thanks!

Gateway Academy has given my husband and I, the comfort of being able to go to work every day and knowing that our baby girl is in good hands. From the director Mary Beth and her assistants Paula and Carla to the individual teachers, we have found a special something in each one of them that lets us know that our Lily is not only being taken care of everyday but she is also getting the love and the attention that she deserves. We like to think that our Lily is special and Gateway Academy has reassured us that she is.

Trusting someone else to take care of your baby everyday is not easy. We did not choose daycare for Lily at first but things happened and we had no other “trusting choice” but to enroll her in a daycare center. We showed up at Gateway’s door one afternoon when Lily was 5 months old, they opened their arms to us and made a spot for her in the infant room starting that next morning. It took some adjusting on my part as a mother to be rested assured that Lily was in a good place. However, it did not take long at all for us to see that Lily was/is happy there. She never showed us that there was anything to be worried with. Her diapers were changed, she was fed, she was in clean clothes, and most of all she was getting loved every day. Her infant room teachers will never be forgotten, they are all such great ladies and we know that they took care of Lily beyond what was required.

When it was time to move Lily into the next classroom, they all were very understanding when we expressed due to her premature birth we did not think she would be ready at the same age as other babies. It was a great feeling to know that not only did they understand but they had her best interest at heart as well and waited until they were all comfortable with her size and growth to move her forward.

Once Lily was out of the infant room she took off in growth and knowledge. Gateway is teaching her sign language and expanding her mind every day. We are overall very pleased with all that the teachers are teaching in the classrooms, the encouragement and support to potty train at 20 months, the arts and crafts that they do every day, the method of teaching them right from wrong without punishment but redirection, the list goes on and on. But most of all, the love that Lily gets away from home is important and Gateway has been such a blessing to our family by loving our little girl the way that we do. You cannot put a price tag on your babies’ happiness. I feel that Lily has a great relationship with all of her teachers and the directors at Gateway, she loves them as if they are family.

Thank you ALL for all that you do.
